 "The Water Guy"™ is a proud supporter of the sixth graders of Green Valley Elementary school, Sinking Spring, PA, and RandomKids, a national organization that promotes philanthropy among the young. The Green Valley sixth graders and RandomKids are working on an amazing project!
These school-aged entrepreneurs will be promoting and selling the bottled water they developed, named, and marketed, to raise funds to provide technology that brings safe, clean drinking water to water-stressed areas of the world. "The Water Guy"™ supplies the bottled water at a discounted rate to the students, the bottles are labeled with the children's logo and message about helping others.
They call their water, "Help 2 Others", and are selling it as part of a global partnership with other schools around the USA in hopes to help the UN achieve one of its Millennium Development Goals, to reduce by half the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water by 2015. Currently 1 billion people do not have access to clean water, leading to the deaths of 1.5 million children under the age of 5 annually.
