In January, we held a Summer Label Design Contest, where we encouraged designs to be submitted for our 16.9oz bottles of water over the summer. All designs were posted to our company Facebook page for voting by the public. We received several submissions with designs displaying everything from beaches to bicycles and flowers.
Leigh Young, a resident of Blandon, PA, won the contest. Her label, pictured below, featured an aerial shot of a beach with an airplane pulling a banner. As a thank you for her hard work, Leigh was given the option to receive a $100 Visa gift card or to receive 3 cases of 16.9oz water a month for an entire year. Leigh chose to receive the 3 cases of 16.9oz water for an entire year and donate them to The Children’s Home of Reading.
When asked why Leigh chose The Children’s Home of Reading, she said “it was an organization that I had heard of locally and just felt like the water could better be used there.”
Leigh is a mom to three children with ages ranging from 8 months to 4 years old. When she is not wrangling her three children and two dogs, she does freelance graphic design from her home. She not only designs birthday, shower and wedding invitations but also does logo design, letterhead, flyers, etc. for companies.
Leigh is a Fine Arts and Art Education graduate of Millersville University. Before working out of her home she was a Graphic Designer at Heffner Printing and Assistant Store Artist for Whole Foods. As an Assistant Store Artist for Whole Foods she was responsible for all the chalkboard art within the store. How cool!
This summer look for Leigh’s design on all our 16.9oz bottles of water!
